Loring Hospital provides care to a wide variety of patients in our 25-bed facility. Advanced technology and a highly trained staff are ready to meet the needs of patients recovering from surgery, acute illness or infections, heart attacks, accidents, strokes, and the entire spectrum of medical needs.
Our staff is dedicated to providing care to all patients both during their hospital stay and through discharge planning to make their transition home easier for both patients and families. Assistance is available with discharge planning, insurance questions, advance directives as well as coordinating other services.
A team of specialists provide elective surgical services and procedures, including hernia repair, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, biopsies and colonoscopies, plus many more.
A new spacious and attractive operating suite offers patients a comfortable environment in which to have their surgery done. Friendly and competent operating room staff assist the surgeon in delivering professional and compassionate care before, during, and after procedures. Patients appreciate the convenience of receiving these services close to home and often being cared for by familiar faces.
Patients can be confident of the care given by competent, qualified staff. Outpatient Surgical Anesthesia is provided by our outstanding Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
Skilled nursing helps bridge the gap between hospital and home. Did you know that if you qualify you can receive care right here at Loring Hospital or at your nursing home of choice? Most insurance companies require a three night hospital stay prior to skilled care admission.

- Medicare Administration Needs: IV antibiotics, IV diuretics, IV pain management
- Wound Care: dressing changes, medication application, lymphedema treatments
