Drs. Paul Dayton, Mindi Dayton, Jesseka Kaldenberg-Leppert, and Jeffrey Olson of the Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa joined Loring Hospital's group of specialty clinic providers in December 2024, seeing patients at Loring Hospital on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
Dr. Paul Dayton, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), and his wife, Dr. Mindi Dayton, DPM, FACFAS, established the Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa in 2018 with a focus on research and development of innovative techniques for foot and ankle surgery.
The team of board-certified foot and ankle surgeons at the Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa are highly skilled in treating a variety of conditions and issues, including foot and ankle pain, sports injuries, diabetes and peripheral neuropathy, hammertoes and arthritis, toenails, pediatric foot care, warts, and more. As a team, they have been instrumental in changing the way bunions are treated in the United States. Since 2009, Drs. Dayton have researched the anatomy and cause of bunions and have developed breakthrough techniques to improve the reliability and quality of bunion surgery.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Dr. Paul Dayton earned a master’s in podiatric medical education and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.
Dr. Mindi Dayton attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, before going on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University’s (DMU) College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2018, she earned a Master of Health Care Administration from DMU.
Dr. Jesseka Kaldenberg-Leppert, DPM, and Associate Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (AACFAS), earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at DMU’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, along with a Master’s of Science in Anatomy. She completed her undergraduate degree at Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Dr. Jeffrey Olson, DPM, FACFAS, received his undergraduate degree at Linfield College in Oregon before going on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at DMU’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
