Every wound has a unique set of circumstances. Loring Hospital's Wound Clinic is equipped and staffed to address them all, with most treatments covered by Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurance plans. Dr. Zoltan Pek and our wound care staff care for people whose open sores have resisted traditional treatment.
At Loring's Outpatient Wound Clinic, you'll receive the right treatment to heal your wound, which may include some of these therapies:
- Debridement (removal of dead or damaged tissue)
- Specially chosen dressings and wraps
- Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO Therapy)
- Bio-engineered tissue substitutes
- Platelet growth technologies
Dr. Pek offers specialized management and treatment of wounds every Friday morning in our Outpatient Center. Treatment includes:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Post surgical incisions
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Radiation wounds
- Pressure ulcers
- Burns
- Skin tears
- Chronic wounds (30 days or more)
Who: Patients care refer themselves or be referred.
What: Cutting edge wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment.
When: Wounds that don't sow signs of improvement in 30 days.
