Administrative Assistant

Full Time Position. Under direct supervision of the CEO, this position will also indirectly report to the CCO, HR, QA & IC, PR & Foundation, Compliance Officer, and Safety Coordinator. Must be an independent worker that can meet the day-to-day needs of many including clerical functions, filing, sorting, coordinating calendar activities, scheduling meetings, etc.  This employee will use Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Duties performed require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and mature and independent judgement.

Education:

  • High School or GED required
  • A bachelor’s degree or other formal education in business or equivalent in a related field highly preferred

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience providing support at the executive level preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions.

Certified Dietary Manager

  • Full Time
  • Manages and directs the food services department’s operations, administrative and financial functions.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and appraising performance.
  • Responsible to develop policies and procedures for the food services department in accordance with conditions of participation and food code regulations.
  • Plans therapeutic diets and cycle menus with registered dietitian, in accordance with the Iowa Simplified Diet Manual
  • Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) credentialing required; or commitment to enroll in certification program within one year upon hire required.
  • Must maintain ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, or obtain within one year of hire.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.

Experience:

  • Two to five years supervisory experience in healthcare food service preferred.
  • Two years in a commercial kitchen cooking experience

 

 

Director of Human Resources

Full Time Position. The Director is responsible for the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, employee retention, development and high performance;  employee relations; recruiting and staffing; performance management and improvement systems; employee onboarding, training and development; compensation and benefits administration; analysis of annual benefits; payroll; updating the employee handbook; management of certain departments/employees so prior management skills preferred.

Job Requirements, Experience and Education:

Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.

Prior management skills preferred as the Director will be managing certain departments/employees.

Better than average written and spoken communication skills.

Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

Have the demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.

Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.

Bachelor's degree in Business required or Human Resources preferred and the equivalent of 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.

MBA in Business or Human Resources would be a plus.

 

Phlebotomist

  • Full Time
  • Responsible for performing venipuncture and related procedures on inpatients and outpatients to provide accurate and quality specimens suitable for laboratory testing
  • Responsible for transcribing orders, scanning orders and filing orders appropriately
  • Requires some visits for wellness testing, nursing home, and homebound patients
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all work related information
  • Performs a variety of routine blood drawing procedures to include capillary and venipuncture, using standard equipment such as vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes and butterfly needles.
  • Ensures that patients are treated safely and courteously at all times and experience the minimum of distress or discomfort throughout the blood sampling procedure
  • Interacts directly with patient to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, allay fears, and elicit cooperation
  • Utilized standard procedures for the maintenance of positive patient identification; records appropriate collection information in accordance with established protocol
  • Ensures samples are correctly labeled, put into the correct containers and otherwise properly treated so as to be suitable for the analyses requested
  • Receives and checks specimens and request forms entering details into the laboratory computer
  • Performs electrocardiograms
  • Will perform additional duties as assigned

  • High School Graduate or GED required

Radiologic Technologist Position

  • Full Time

  • Includes On-Call, weekend rotation and cross-training into CT and Mammography

  • Experience is preferred

  • EPIC System training a plus

  • ARRT and Iowa permit to practice are required

  • Benefit package available

  • Wage based on experience

 

Radiologic Technologist Weekend Position

  • Weekend package consisting of the hours from Friday 5 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m.

  • Must work at least one weekend per month but may work more weekends as desired.

  • Requires ARRT Certification and Iowa Permit to Practice.

  • EPIC System training a plus.

  • Experience is preferred.  Applicant must be willing to cross-train into CT.

  • Wage based on experience.

Food Service Cook

  • Full Time

  • Hours will be a combination of day and afternoon shifts and every third weekend

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk 80% of shift, lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds, bend and reach items in lower drawers and upper shelves

  • Experience preferred

  • Serv Safe Certification preferred

  • Ideal candidate will be able to understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Loring Hospital Mission and Standards of Conduct in behaviors, practices, decisions, and professionalism

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

  • Full Time
  • 3 pm to 11 pm shift
  • Requires working every third weekend
  • Provides personal care for patient under the supervision of RN
  • Maintains good interpersonal relations with patient, family, visitors
  • Delivers meal trays and snacks; assists patients as needed
  • Takes vital signs and reports any unusual findings to RN
  • Collects specimens as directed by RN
  • Maintains supply areas stocked
  • Maintains clean work areas
  • Assists with Activities of Daily Living including proper positioning of patient
  • Offers and assists with activities for skilled patients
  • CNA Certificate required

Registered Nurse-ER and Med Surg

  • Full Time
  • Flexible Schedule - works both 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am shifts
  • Applicant must be flexible, energetic and committed to making a difference
  • Must demonstrate leadership, delegation skills and professional behaviors during interactions with health care team
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and have current RN licensure State of Iowa, have current BLS certification, have current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire, have current PALS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
