Loring Hospital's next "Quarterly Health Beat" is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4-5 p.m. The educational program is entitled "Flu Prevention and Immunization Information 101" and will feature speaker Nicole Wiggins, who is the infection preventionist at Loring Hospital.

Bomgaars to Host Ladies Night Benefitting Loring Healthcare Foundation

Bomgaars of Sac City is set to host a Ladies Night on Oct. 27, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. in which five percent of total sales will be donated to the Loring Healthcare Foundation. The night will include giveaways, refreshments and a twenty percent discount on all regular priced merchandise.

Loring Hospital Vendor Fair a Success - Mammogram Party to be held Oct. 29

Loring Hospital is hosting a separate Mammogram Party on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 4-8 p.m. The event will include pre-scheduled mammograms, a shirt fundraiser benefitting Relay for Life, and refreshments. For questions or to schedule a 3D mammogram, please call 712-662-6344.

Loring Hospital Hosting Vendor Fair to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

October marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms and early breast cancer detection, Loring Hospital is hosting its first-ever Ladies Night Vendor Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 5-7 p.m. The event will take place in the hospital's West Conference Room.

Olhausen Receives Governor's Volunteer Award

LeAnn Olhausen received a Governor's Volunteer Award from Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg during a special recognition ceremony held on Sept. 12 in Storm Lake.

"Dementia and Its Impact" Event Scheduled for Oct. 15

The Loring Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring an educational program entitled, "Dementia and Its Impact," on Oct. 15 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City. The event will feature guest speaker Lyn Hilgenberg, who provides educational and consulting assistance regarding the topics of healthy aging and dementia care. The program is open to the public at no cost and will include two available sessions: 8 a.m. - noon and 1 - 5 p.m.

Loring Hospital named to Top 20 Critical Access Hospital list

Loring Hospital in Sac City has been named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) in the U.S. for best practices in quality. It was one of only two hospitals in Iowa to be recognized in this category.
