Clinical Informatics Position

Loring Hospital, Sac City, IA, currently has a full time Clinical Informatics Position open.  Job responsibilities include: utilize clinical experience to coordinate, develop, implement and maintain clinical application systems that are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice.  Educate users of the clinical system and be the liaison between the clinical aspect of the system and the administrative and technical aspect. Maintain strong clinical knowledge of healthcare trends, policy, regulatory and compliance issues.  Participate in the development of and compliance of HIPAA standards.
This position requires employee to work on the Med/Surg Unit in the capacity of Registered Nurse in addition to Clinical Informatics duties to qualify for full time status and requires variable days and shifts with some weekends.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current Iowa Registered Nurse license, BSN and/or Certification preferred.  Two to three years of previous professional clinical experience required.  

The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate with small and large groups, be self-directed with effective organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal and written skills. Competitive wages and benefits available.

Environmental Services Position

Full-time housekeeping and laundry duties. Must be able to safely lift and carry objects ranging from less than ten pounds to as much as fifty pounds without assistance. Must be able to safely lift and transfer up to seventy-five pounds with assistance. Reaching overhead is required. Must be able to stand or walk up to 90% of eight hour shift. Ideal candidate will be a team player and be detail orientated. Competitive salary and benefit package.  Wage based on experience.  

Registered Nurse, PRN 

  • Twelve hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Some weeknights and some weekends

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

  • Full-time hours 
  • Requires certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) and must meet CLIA Regulations.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Weekend Position

  • Weekend package consisting of the hours from Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m.
  • Must work at least one weekend per month but may work more weekends as desired.
  • Requires certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) and must meet CLIA Regulations.
  • EPIC System training a plus
  • No benefits associated with this package.
