Join Loring Hospital’s CHNA Town Hall April 3

Loring Hospital will host a public meeting on Thursday, April 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the hospital’s downtown meeting space located at 119 North Fifth Street in Sac City. The meeting has been set to discuss results from a recent health needs assessment (CHNA) survey and to seek input about healthcare in Sac County and neighboring communities. A light lunch will be provided to attendees at no cost.

It’s Not Too Late to Schedule Year-End Procedures

If you are planning on having elective surgery around the winter holidays, it’s best to schedule now as this is the time of year doctors’ schedules tend to fill up quickly.​ An elective surgery is a procedure that is planned in advance, rather than one that is done in an emergency situation. Common elective surgeries at Loring include colonoscopies, tonsillectomies, hernia repair, hysterectomy, and other surgeries that may not be deemed medically necessary. At Loring Hospital, general surgeries are the most common performed elective procedures, often done the last quarter of the year, once a patient has reached their deductible.
