Loring Hospital Welcomes New Occupational Therapist

Loring Hospital’s Rehab Services Department recently welcomed Jessie Dentlinger, occupational therapist (OT), to the team in May. Dentlinger, who grew up in Breda, Iowa, but spent a great deal of time in Sac City growing up while visiting her grandparents, graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then went on to earn her doctorate in occupational therapy at Creighton University.

“Welcome to Medicare” Seminar Offered at Loring Hospital

Are you going to be eligible for Medicare in the near future? Have you been on Medicare for a while and want to better understand what it offers? Do you have a family member you help with Medicare issues? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Loring Hospital encourages you to attend an upcoming “Welcome to Medicare” seminar. This one-hour seminar presented by one of Loring Hospital’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselors, LeAnn Olhausen, will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. in the hospital’s West Conference Room. Light refreshments will be available for attendees.

LSVT BIG® Treatment Offered at Loring Hospital for Those with Parkinson's

Loring Hospital’s Rehab Services Department is now offering LSVT BIG treatment for persons with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions. LSVT BIG is a physical therapy program that has been proven to improve motor function. Improvements include faster walking with bigger steps, improved balance, better flexibility, reduced risk of falling, and more.
