Matt Johnson Named Loring Hospital CEO

UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge CEO, Leah Glasgo, announced Matt Johnson has accepted the chief executive officer (CEO) position for Loring Hospital.

“On behalf of the UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge and Loring Hospital, I am very pleased to announce Matt as the new CEO at Loring Hospital,” says Glasgo. “Matt is an experienced healthcare executive who has served rural Iowa communities since 2016. During his interim CEO role, Matt has built strong relationships inside and outside of the hospital.” 

Johnson has served as the interim Loring Hospital CEO since late November 2022. He has extensive rural hospital leadership experience. More than eight years ago, Johnson began his career in healthcare leadership at Cherokee Regional Medical Center, ultimately being named as CEO in 2016. Since then, Johnson has served in various hospital executive leadership roles in Iowa.
