Loring to Host Educational Sessions as Part of "Loring's Quarterly Health Beat"
August 15, 2019
Loring Hospital is launching a new community education program, entitled “Loring’s Quarterly Health Beat.” The program includes a series of four annual health and wellness education sessions that are hosted by healthcare professionals and Loring Hospital staff. They are free and open to the public.
The first event will take place on Aug. 21 from 4-5 p.m. in Loring Hospital’s West Conference Room. In an effort to reduce the stigma that is associated with mental illness and provide valuable resources and information to the community, the event will cover the topic of mental health and feature guest speaker Aaron McHone, who is the executive director of UnityPoint Health – Berryhill Center. The Berryhill Center is a Community Mental Health Center that provides services in Fort Dodge and surrounding communities, including Sac County.
McHone will discuss mental health facts and information, symptoms, services, and more. Light refreshments will be provided for all attendees. For questions or to RSVP to this free event, call 712-662-6419.
