Loring Hospital Recognizes Employees February 18, 2017

Loring Hospital recently held their annual employee banquet Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Sac County Fairgrounds. Over 80 employees, board members, and spouses attended the event. Along with dinner and a comedian, Loring Hospital board of director chairman, Mike Green, recognized employees for their years’ of service to Loring Hospital.
Laura Vauble, Amanda Hedberg, Marie Ulrich, Amy von Glan, Julia Box, Leah Snyder, and Nicole Foote were recognized at Loring Hospital’s annual banquet for five years of service. Amy Scheffler, Katie Hatch and Crystal Hartsell were recognized at Loring Hospital’s annual banquet for 10 years of service. Keri Geery and Tamy Galbraith were recognized at the banquet for 15 years of service. Lori Mentzer, Barb Feilmeier, Peggy Simpson, Kim Buschmann, and Leslie Willson were recognized at Loring Hospital’s annual banquet for 20 years of service. And Marjorie Bensley was recognized for 25 years of service.
Kay Martin was recognized at the banquet for 40 years of service. Kay began her healthcare career as a floor nurse and in the OB area delivering babies. She later moved to surgery recovery, which was located in the basement of Loring at that time. She served as Loring’s nurse manager for 30 years. Kay credits lots of great teachers in her co-workers and physicians over the years, contributing to the enjoyment and fulfillment of her work at Loring. She also wants people to know that small hospitals, like Loring Hospital, provide great patient care every day. Kay believes the well-rounded experiences of our staff contribute to the outstanding personalized care Loring Hospital provides. Kay continues to work as a floor nurse at Loring today.
