Loring Hospital Offers Veteran's Choice Program
November 1, 2017
Each year Americans celebrate Veteran’s Day on November 11th, a day to honor and pay respect to the men and women who have served our country in the military. Loring Hospital celebrates this day and supports veteran’s throughout the entire year by accepting Veteran’s Affairs (VA) insurance along with most major insurances.
We welcome Sac County veteran’s to Loring Hospital to receive care. We have always accepted VA insurance, and now with the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act signed by the President in August 2017, we are offering the Veteran’s Choice Program (VCP). The Act ensures VCP-eligible veterans continue to have access to care in their communities. If you are already enrolled in VA health care, the VCP allows you to receive health care within your community. Using the program does not impact your existing VA health care, or any other VA benefits, according to the VA Administration. When receiving your care at Loring Hospital, please make sure to have your VA insurance cards and any preauthorization letters needed to obtain services at Loring Hospital.
The Veterans Administration says there are nearly 22 million living U.S. veterans. A veteran could be your neighbor, your co-worker or the person you meet while getting groceries. They are silent heroes we run into every day. We honor all area veteran’s on Veteran’s Day and each and every day at Loring Hospital. Thank you veterans!
