Loring Hospital named to Top 20 Critical Access Hospital list
September 17, 2019
Loring Hospital in Sac City has been named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) in the U.S. for best practices in quality. It was one of only two hospitals in Iowa to be recognized in this category.
The rankings were announced by the National Rural Health Association and are based on the Hospital Strength INDEX compiled by iVantage Health Analytics. Loring Hospital scored best among critical access hospitals as determined by The Chartis Center for Rural Health and was recognized as a best practice in quality recipient.
“The rankings are based on data that is completely objective and we are very proud of this accomplishment,” said Stacy Johnson, chief executive officer and chief financial officer at Loring Hospital. “There is, however, room for improvement in all areas as we strive to provide quality healthcare to every patient, every time. A portion of these improvements utilize the input we receive from current patients who choose to fill out the after-care survey.”
The elite group of “best practice” hospitals were selected from The Chartis Center for Rural Health’s 2019 Top 100 CAH list that was released earlier this year.
