Loring Hospital Named as a 2025 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital

Loring Hospital in Sac City has been named as a 2025 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The designation is considered one of the most significant indicators of performance excellence in the rural healthcare industry.

This annual award honoring rural hospital performance throughout the nation is determined by the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, which, over the course of the last 15 years, has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. 

Based entirely on public data, the INDEX framework is widely used across the nation by independent rural hospitals, health systems with rural affiliates, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
