Loring Hospital Expands Cardiology Clinic

Loring Hospital’s Cardiology Clinic is expanding our services to offer our patients another option for cardiac services beginning in November. At the Katie Youberg Outpatient Center at Loring, Cardiovascular Associates (CVA) of Sioux City will join Iowa Heart of Fort Dodge in our cardiology specialty clinic. Patients have the option to choose either provider when being referred by their doctor.

Iowa Heart has been offering services at Loring Hospital for over 15 years. They will continue to offer services at Loring Hospital’s Outpatient Center. Loring Hospital is proud to continue our relationship with Iowa Heart and welcomes Cardiovascular Associates to our specialty clinics. “We are excited to be offering an additional choice for our patients when it comes to cardiac care,” stated Brian Martin, Loring Hospital CEO. “Over the years, I know many patients have received excellent care from Iowa Heart cardiologists and will be able to continue to do so. We are simply offering patients an additional option.  I’m confident that patients will engage in discussion with their referring physician to make a choice that best fits their healthcare needs.” he stated. Additional cardiology appointments will be available in Sac City with two cardiology clinics, allowing more patients to be seen in Sac City instead of driving to another facility.

For more than 35 years, Cardiovascular Associates of Sioux City has treated tens of thousands of patients across our region. With state-of-the-art resources, extensive experience, and personal care and compassion, their practice will work closely with our primary care physicians in Sac City to ensure a special, long-term relationship with our patients and their doctor. Services offered at Loring Hospital’s Outpatient Center by Iowa Heart and Cardiovascular Associates will include: consultations, treadmill exercise testing, echocardiogram, stress echocardiography along with other cardiovascular services.

Iowa Heart Center’s clinic in Sac City sees patients the first and third Monday of each month. Cardiovascular Associate’s clinic will see patients in Sac City the second Tuesday of the month. By offering more than one cardiac clinic Loring Hospital offers more flexibility and timely appointments for our patients, along with great care for our cardiology patients.
