UnityPoint Health® – Fort Dodge President and CEO, Leah Glasgo, announced today Dr. Callie Babcock has accepted the chief executive officer (CEO) position for Loring Hospital.

“On behalf of the UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge and Loring Hospital, I am very pleased to announce Callie as the new CEO at Loring Hospital,” says Glasgo. “Callie is an excellent choice for this role as she is committed to Sac County and is passionate about providing quality care to Sac County residents.”

Callie is currently serving as the Nursing Services Director for North Central Correctional Facility. She recently received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to working in various nursing leadership roles, Callie spent time working at Loring Hospital as an ER nurse and Charge Nurse.

Additionally, while completing her Doctorate program, Callie did a preceptorship with former Loring CEO, Stacy Johnson. This experience gave Callie insight into the organization’s operations, growth strategies as well as an opportunity to network with the Loring Hospital leadership team and Board of Directors.

“We are excited to have a Sac County native return as the CEO of Loring Hospital. My hope is that Callie inspires other young professionals to return to our community and help lead us into the future,” says Dr. Frank Richardson, Loring Hospital Board Chair. “Callie’s experience, extensive education and knowledge of the area, gives me confidence that she will be successful in this role.”
