Employee Benefits

Health, Dental and Vision Insurance:  We offer insurance coverage to full and part-time employees.  The Hospital pays a portion of the insurance, with the amount depending on the employee's full or part-time status.  The employee has the option of paying premiums pre-tax through Loring Hospital's Cafeteria Plan.

Supplemental Insurance:  Employees may purchase additional policies on a voluntary basis.  Policies available include short term disability, cancer, accident, specified event, hospital indemnity, long term care and intensive care.

Life Insurance:  Eligible employees working 20 hours per week may elect $10,000 Life Insurance and $10,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage.  The cost to the employee is seventy cents per month.  Employees may purchase additional Life & AD&D coverage on a voluntary basis for themselves, spouse and dependents.

Cafeteria Plan:  Pre-tax elections of dependent care expense up to $5,000 per year.  Medical spending account (non-reimbursed medical, dental and vision expenses) up to $2,000 per year.  Loring Hospital group health, dental and vision premiums.

401(k) Plan:  Employees may contribute a percentage of their pay to the plan. The employee structures his/her own portfolio by choosing how their monies are invested.  Taxes are deferred until such time as the employee receives that money.

Personal Leave:  We offer a generous personal leave package that includes a combination of vacation days and holidays for full and part-time employees.  It is accrued according to hours worked. 

Sick Leave:   We offer sick leave to full and part-time employees.  It is accrued according to hours worked.

Bereavement Leave:  We offer from one to three days paid bereavement leave to full and part-time employees who experience the loss of an immediate family member.

Other Recognized Leave:  Military Leave, Jury Duty, Family and Medical Leave, Non-Family Medical Leave.
