Pharmacy
The pharmacy is located next to the nurses station. This central location promotes close teamwork between the pharmacy, nurses, and doctors.
The pharmacy provides all medications to the inpatient hospital as well as to the Emergency Room and to our busy outpatient center. The pharmacy reviews all medication orders for drug-to-drug and drug-to-food interactions, allergy contraindications, and appropriateness of therapy. We also provide antibiotic reviews. Any problems with drug therapy can be quickly evaluated and resolved due to the close communication between the staff.
The pharmacy also provides a pharmacy consultant to Hospice, and participates in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the Quality Assurance and Safety Committee.
HOURS
We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are also open some nights, and Sunday evenings, and on call whenever needed.
