Nursing Services
Our nursing staff is dedicated to providing quality care with compassion. Each of our patients receives individualized care that reflects a professional, yet small town feeling.
ACUTE CARE: This level of care is available to patients with short term illnesses, injuries, and for surgical procedures that require daily physician care. This level of care also includes obstetrical. Register nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants provide quality care with competence and compassion. Our nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation and Trauma Nursing.
SKILLED CARE: This level of care is available to patients that require skilled nursing care and or physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy for rehabilitation purposes.
RESPITE CARE: This is a short term care option for our patients who need basic nursing care before returning home. This care is an option for patients who need an alternative to acute or skilled care.
SAME DAY SURGERY: This service is for patients having a surgical procedure and returning home the same day.
HOSPICE ROOM: See Home Health and Hospice for specific information. There is a specified room for these services.
DISCHARGE PLANNING: Before patients return to home or alternative a nurse will confer with them and their family about resources available outside the hospital. Home Health, Public Health, medical equipment, Lifeline, Meals on Wheels are examples of resources.
