Emergency Services
Loring Hospital emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. More than 2000 patients are seen in the emergency rooms each year.
Loring Hospital has the distinction of being a Level IV "Community Trauma Care Facility." This means Loring Hospital has an organized Trauma Team in place, ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the care and stabilization of time critical injuries along with the coordination of air or ground transportation to a regional facility for continued medical care.

Our registered nurses are all certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pedatric Advanced Life Support and have a variety of experiences which gives Loring Hospital Emerency Services a well rounded team, ready to provide excellent care when your emergency arises. All our RN's are trauma certified, allowing them to effectively manage the trauma patient in the emerency room. In addition, a physician is on call 24 hours a day.
Loring Hospital utilizes the Sac County Ambulance Service for 24 hour a day emergency ground transportation. Sac County Ambulance has five ambulances and is staffed with four paramedics and one EMT, along with assistance from seven first responder units and over 100 volunteers. Nine out of ten towns in Sac County have defibrilator units.
